Software introduction

Another fantastic mobile bundle has appeared on the Humble Store for Android users, featuring the Gold-Award winning This War of Mine, and Broken Sword 5: The Serpent's Curse.

Humble Mobile Bundles have been knocking it out of the park recently with the likes of Sorcery, Lara Croft GO, Framed, and our Platinum award-winner Prune featuring.

This one is no exception.
$1 or more:
This tier nets you:

The silver-award winning Freeze! 2 Brothers, which is a lovely looking (and playing) physics puzzler.

Roleplaying fantasy Evoland also comes bundled in, as does Gold Award winning, The Adventures of Poco EcoPay more than the average of $6.04:We see what you did there, Humble. Shame on you for putting poor George Stobbart next to a goat. Cruel.

But anyway, you can pick up Episode One of Charles Cecils' return to Broken Sword at this tier. You can also pick up the wild and wacky Goat Simulator GoatZ

You'll even bag yourself a copy of Rebuild 3: Gangs of DeadsvillePay $7 or more to also unlock:And for just $0.96 more, you can pick up the second and final episode of Broken Sword 5, and one of our favourite games of 2015, This War of Mine.

The game forces you to survive in a bleak, post-apocalyptic world filled with action, resource-management, and plenty of tension. It's bloody brilliant, and this is an absolute bargain price.

Oh, and did we mention that more games are set to be added to the bundle before it ends and that all proceeds go to charity?

Basically, if you have an Android phone and you don't own any of these games, get on this. You won't be sorry. Probably.

The dishonest, if they act honestly, get no credit.
With the arrival of Hearthstone on Android phones it's worth noting that you can currently get better deals through the Amazon App Store than through Google Play.

This is on account of Amazon celebrating the game's smartphone launch by giving away Amazon Coins with select in-game purchases.

You get 30 percent of your expenditure back in Amazon Coins so that you can put them towards more in-game purchases, basically.

What this means is that, if you're spending money in the game anyway, doing it through the Amazon App Store gets you more Card Packs.

The example we were given by Amazon is this: if you spend $90 then you get 106 packs on the Amazon App Store, whereas you'd only get 70 packs for the same price on Google Play.

Amazon actually has a whole page dedicated to Hearthstone and the many deals it has going on.

So if you're looking to spend some dosh and get ahead in Hearthstone, it's probably worth a look at least.

How coldly those impediments stand forth,
Tundra Games has released Rapture - World Conquest for iOS today so it's time to give your fingers a work out, I reckon.

Rapture is a fast-paced strategy game in which you play a god and lead a civilisation on a global conquest in order to escape the apocalypse.

It's a strategy game for people who may find the genre a bit slow and dull, really. Each game lasts about five minutes, you see.

But, certainly, anyone can enjoy it - it's very accessible once you work out the bustling interface. It's all taps and drag-and-drop, with your mind throwing out strategies as you spot them.

You may have read my rather enthusiastic preview of it a couple of weeks ago. It surprised me with how chaotic it all is while retaining some of what makes Civilization so special.

A FARMER placed nets on his newly-sown plowlands and caught a number of Cranes, which came to pick up his seed. With them he trapped a Stork that had fractured his leg in the net and was earnestly beseeching the Farmer to spare his life. "Pray save me, Master," he said, "and let me go free this once. My broken limb should excite your pity. Besides, I am no Crane, I am a Stork, a bird of excellent character; and see how I love and slave for my father and mother. Look too, at my feathers-- they are not the least like those of a Crane." The Farmer laughed aloud and said, "It may be all as you say, I only know this: I have taken you with these robbers, the Cranes, and you must die in their company."

THE OXEN once upon a time sought to destroy the Butchers, who practiced a trade destructive to their race. They assembled on a certain day to carry out their purpose, and sharpened their horns for the contest. But one of them who was exceedingly old (for many a field had he plowed) thus spoke: "These Butchers, it is true, slaughter us, but they do so with skillful hands, and with no unnecessary pain. If we get rid of them, we shall fall into the hands of unskillful operators, and thus suffer a double death: for you may be assured, that though all the Butchers should perish, yet will men never want beef."StoryA MAN wished to purchase an Ass, and agreed with its owner that he should try out the animal before he bought him. He took the Ass home and put him in the straw-yard with his other Asses, upon which the new animal left all the others and at once joined the one that was most idle and the greatest eater of them all. Seeing this, the man put a halter on him and led him back to his owner. On being asked how, in so short a time, he could have made a trial of him, he answered, "I do not need a trial; I know that he will be just the same as the one he chose for his companion."

    "Oh, you can take that thing home with you if you want to," said Captain Jim, as if the "thing" were not his most treasured possession. "I must go down and pull my boat up a bit on the skids. There's a wind coming. Did you notice the sky tonight?&#;
